The journey we have made with my teeth has been quite remarkable. At first, I was a reluctant patient, who adamantly stated "I love my teeth as they are" but realised that now was the time to tackle my crumbling teeth before things became much worse. You have managed to undertake many complicated procedures - some that I never knew existed - to create an amazing smile that looks so natural. Friends look at me quizically and ask what's different about you? When I say I've had a smile makeover they say "aren't you lucky" and I reply "yes, I am." Thank you Donald and team for all your effort and compassion.
I used to be terrified of going to the dentist. People I speak to tell me they're just the same. But most are not. From the age of 12 till the age of 39, I had not been able to accept any treatment. I was prepared to put up with pain and disgusting looking teeth. When things got really bad, I'd have a general anaesthetic and more teeth would be pulled out. I was terrified of that as well - it meant needles and losing consciousness and the risks involved with that. I even trained as a Nurse, hoping it might resolve some of my fears, and though I worked, as a qualified nurse, on the ward which dealt with all the dental cases, I was no further forward with my own fears.
Eventually, the day of reckoning arrived, I had severe pain. I had only 18 teeth left and local dentists could not cope with me nor me with them. A quick search on th e internet led me to www.beyondfear.org and from there to Ripon 300 miles away. I have now made several visits and had a lot of treatment. I can honestly say I have not felt any pain or discomfort whatsoever during treatment and have complete trust and confidence in Dr Sloss. It is exactly as he says "painfree dentistry". I have gone from being a quivering wreck who had to be forced through the door on my first visit to someone who has no anxiety at all about going to the dentist - and that is something I thought I'd never be able to say.
Going through those big life milestones: graduation, birthdays, wedding day being delleriously happy but never smiling with my mouth open. Now I smile widely without thinking about it. I am very happy with my veneers and think I have a new greater confidence. Some people noticed my veneers and complimented me, others especially friends I hadn't met for a while commented that I seem really happy and were suprised when I told them about my venners. This just goes to prove how natural they look, which is what I like the most about them. Thank you Dr Sloss!
I'm really happy with my veneers and with how natural they look. It's made such a difference both personally and professionally. It's definitely the best thing I've ever done!
My only regret is not having them done earlier.had I realised how good they were going to look and what a difference it would make, I wouldn't have hesitated for a minute
Family, friends and colleagues tell me I'm happier and more confident and there's no doubt I feel it. I'm so pleased with my 'smile'.and of course when I smile, people smile back - it's great!
