Donald qualified from Glasgow University in 1983 after which he joined the army as a dentist rising to the rank of Major, serving in Germany, Hong Kong, Brunei and the Gulf war. He joined Clock Tower Dental Care (formerly Byfield and Sloss Dental Practice) in 1991.
Donald currently works at both the Clock Tower Dental Care and The Raglan Suite, Harrogate and lectures on cosmetic dentistry. His special interests are Cosmetic Dentistry, Dental Phobia and Orthodontics.
Donald won the prized title of Practice of the Year 1996 and was runner up in the Dentist of the year awards 1998. A commitment to postgraduate education led to the awards of membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and being made a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England – the most prestigious award possible for a general dental practitioner.
A commitment to cosmetic dentistry has led to full membership of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry on which he sits on the credentialing committee. By showing advanced knowledge in cosmetic dentistry he has been made a Sustaining Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Outside of work, Donald enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
